FAQs About This Product

What Is The Best Way To Clean KA1 Tiger Coils?

In order to clean KA1 Tiger Coils, you should gently dry burn them at a low wattage, allowing any residue on the coils to burn off. Remove any remaining particles from the coils by lightly brushing them with a coil cleaning tool or a small, soft-bristled brush after they have cooled. It’s important to avoid using water or liquid for cleaning the coils, since this could damage them. If you are going to reuse the coils after cleaning them, make sure you thoroughly dry them and they’re free of debris. By regularly cleaning the coils, you will extend their life and maintain their performance.

How Do I Properly Install KA1 Tiger Coils?

  1. Turn Off Device: Turn off or lock your electronic device to prevent accidental firing.
  2. Access Deck: Open the build deck of your device.
  3. Loosen Terminals: Unscrew the terminal screws enough to insert the ends of the coil.
  4. Insert Coil: Carefully insert the ends of the KA1 Tiger Coil into the open terminals.
  5. Secure Coil: Tighten the terminal screws to secure the coil in place, ensuring it’s firmly held but without over-tightening as this can damage the coil.
  6. Position Coil: Adjust the coil’s position as needed so it’s in the centre and not touching any part of the build deck to prevent shorts.
  7. Trim Excess Leads: Use wire cutters to trim the excess leads as close to the post as possible to prevent shorts.
  8. Check Resistance: Use an ohmmeter or the resistance checking function on your device to ensure the coil is at the expected resistance (0.36 Ω for KA1 Tiger Coils).
  9. Dry Burn: Gently pulse the power to your coil to check for even heating and to remove any manufacturing residues. The coil should glow from the inside out; if it doesn’t, adjust the positioning and check for hot spots that can be worked out by lightly strumming the coil with a ceramic tweezer.
  10. Cool Down: Allow the coil to cool down completely before proceeding.
  11. Wicking: Insert the appropriate amount of cotton or your chosen wicking material through the coil. The wick should be snug but not so tight that it deforms the coil when pulled through.
  12. Prime Coil: Saturating the wick with your chosen liquid will ensure that the coil is full coverage with prime.
  13. Reassemble Device: Put your device back together, following its specific instructions.
  14. Test Fire: Before using, do a final test fire to ensure everything is working correctly.
